CADSoftTools has launched a new version of its software, CAD Import .NET library. The main advantage of CAD Import .NET is the potential to develop smart CAD in MS Visual Studio. CAD Import .NET only contains managed code and displays drawings using GDI+ methods. CAD Import .NET for Compact Framework

The main purpose of the library is viewing CAD files and importing CAD entities from the current file to the custom applications, created on C#, VB.NET or any other programming language supported by Microsoft Compact .NET Framework. The supported file formats are DWG, DXF, HPGL, PLT, CGM, EMF, BMP, JPG, TIFF, and GIF. The overall view of the CAD viewer based on the CAD Import .NET Compact library is shown on the figure 1. Pocket PC CAD Viewer: DWG, DXF, PLT

To run the application the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 has to be installed on the device too. After installing the Pocket PC CAD viewer its icon appears in the Programs window of the portable device (see the figure 1).
